Wizard on Demand needs someone who is deep into Google Ads to help our online marketing agency. We create content (currently articles and organic social media) for companies who build tech solutions. We need you to get more eyeballs on our marketing efforts using targeted ads for our clients' highly targeted B2B audiences and move people through the marketing funnel.
We target specific technical audiences such as software engineers, product managers, and engineering executives. We focus on specific technologies for people who build technical products. This means we write about things like databases, frameworks, and developer tools.
The campaigns we build tend to focus on new sales opportunities (demos, leads) over users (signups), however sometimes we create campaigns focused on new user acquisition.
Our Google Ads work tends to focus on Google Search ads. We usually advertise for lower-volume keywords that are specific to the solutions that our clients are looking to sell. We use mostly exact match and perhaps phrase match, and follow the Single Topic Ad Group structure.
When creating ads, we focus the copywriting on the technical pain points of our clients’ prospects. We do quite a bit of ad iteration to try different angles and approaches to getting interest from the right people.
We use CTR as information, but don’t optimize it. What matters to us is a high end-to-end conversion rate. To enable a high conversion rate, we try to be as specific as possible during the copywriting phase, and match the ads to landing pages to give end users an optimal experience.
We also provide a fair bit of advice on landing page copy and design for clients, as well as monitoring lead quality and discussing directly with clients whether we are driving ICP leads.

As part of the process, you will be required to demonstrate clearly that you can analyse and find positives and negatives in existing campaigns. This job is definitely not entry level, so if you don’t already have two years of experience and a hungry attitude towards Google Ads, then it’s probably better that you don’t apply.
